It takes approximately 28 days to form new collagen. During those first 28 days, your skin will be reorganizing and remodeling deep into the subcutaneous layer of tissue. After just one Morpheus8 treatment, you can expect to continue to see changes in your skin for up to 3 months. Typical care plans include 3 treatments to further your improvement. Nothing will freeze you in place forever, however, it does “turn back the clock” give you a new starting point. Most patients will have maintenance treatments yearly.

Morpheus8 microneedling with radio frequency is most often used on the face and neck but it is also very effective on other areas of the body such as the stomach, legs, and arms to tighten skin, decrease fat, improve scaring, and treat skin imperfections such as stretch marks and discoloration. Additionally Morpheus8 is effective in treating hyperhidrosis (sweating under the arms).
HOW OFTEN CAN I HAVE A MORPHEUS8 TREATMENT?

You can have a Morpheus8 treatment once per month as it takes 28 days to make new collagen. Your skin will continue to remodel for 3 months; however, you can stack treatments as close as 1 month apart and the results will compound upon each other. You can space them apart as far as you would like without any decrease in effectiveness. Typical care plans include a series of 3 Morpheus8 treatments performed with each treatment spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

Overall, the downtime for Morpheus8 treatment is minimal however the recovery time required will be dependent on the treatment area sensitivity. Immediately after treatment you will experience redness, swelling and small marks or bruising to the area treated. In the days following treatment, you may experience areas of the skin that feel tight and appear shiny. Peeling or flaking from the skin is also common. Most patients are able to return to their usual activities within 1-2 days post treatment although care must be taken to protect the area/s treated from sun exposure by using sun protection daily. At your consultation and after your treatment our expert practitioners will be able to provide detailed aftercare advice and answer any questions you have regarding this.
