Dermal Fillers in Pocatello, ID

WHAT IS IT?

As we age, many of us face the concern of losing volume in our faces, caused by a loss of essential fat, collagen, and elastin, which can lead to several signs of aging such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, or a gaunt appearance.

Most dermal fillers are made  from hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients and helps the skin retain moisture and softness. These fillers utilize hyaluronic acid (HA) to help add instant volume beneath the skin. Fillers can treat lines, wrinkles, and volume loss in common problem areas of the face. These areas include the cheeks and around the nose and mouth, as well as to add fullness to the lips.

CAN YOU COMBINE DERMAL FILLER INJECTIONS WITH OTHER PROCEDURES?

  • Depending on your aesthetic goals, combining fillers with other procedures is quite common. This can be used in combination with neuromodulators (botox/xeomin) or any of the laser or radiofrequency therapies. When you have your consultation with Dr. Clark, you will determine a comprehensive treatment plan to achieve your goals. You do want to do the filler after any radiofrequency microblading procedures.

HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?

  • Results may last one year to two years with optimal treatment and depending on the formula used and the area treated. It may also change depending on each person.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

  • Results are seen immediately and may change slightly over the first 2 weeks after treatment.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR DERMAL FILLERS?

  • Fillers are an option for men and women older than 21 years old who want to address volume loss in specific areas of the face that are causing lines, wrinkles, or a generally older appearance.

WHAT IS THE RECOVERY FROM THE PROCEDURE?

  • There is a minimal recovery period associated with filler treatments. You may notice some minor bruising or swelling but generally fade within the first week after your treatment. The level of bruising and swelling can vary from person to person and on the treatment area. Minimize exercise, sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment to avoid worsening these side effects.
